Curriculum Offerings & Assistance Planning for a Career

Curriculum

Kingstree Senior High School is following the 4X4 Block Scheduling System this school year.
*Courses that begin in August will end in December
*Courses that begin in January will end in May
Parents are cautioned on moving students from one School District to another; especially when the two School Districts are following different Scheduling Systems. (This could affect the amount of units your child will receive for the school year).

Kingstree Senior High School Offers a Curriculum that has the following Programs of Study:
*Honors Program
*Dual-Path Program
*College Preparatory Program
*Applied Academic Program
*Special Education Program

Kingstree Senior High School has partnered with Williamsburg Technical College to offer high school students age 16 and older the opportunity to participate in dual-enrollment. You may contact the Director of Guidance for more details about this partnership and how your child may or may not benefit from it.

Kingstree Senior High School has three plato labs located on either the east or west campus. Students receive remediation for the BSAP, HSAP, SAT, and ACT on the software provided in these labs. You may contact your child's counselor to see if this would be an appropriate course for your child to take.

****Kingstree Senior High School is using the South Carolina State's Uniformed Grading Scale Policy in calculating all student's grade point averages.****


Career Information
Kingstree Senior High School offers an annual Career Fair for all sophomore students to introduce them to the various career opportunities in Williamsburg County and neighboring Counties.

Education Opportunity Day is offered every fall for Seniors to help them meet and ask questions of several college and military recruiters from around the state of South Carolina and other neighboring states.

Williamsburg County School District has purchased the SCOIS software and made it available to all middle and secondary schools within the district. This software is designed to aid students, parents, teachers, and guidance counselors in assisting your child in the development of a career plan for his or her future.
